Cobb AccessPort & Stillen Gen. 3's on there way...dynos to follow.

So i couldn't resist the stillen sale on there stillen gen 3's and just placed my order. The shop where im getting my Cobb AP told me he should be getting it next week. Depending on how long the gen 3's take to ship i might have both by the end of next week.

Right now my car has Berk HFC's and i did not do any before or after on it.
I will be doing before and after dyno's of the stillen gen 3's (so it would be Berk HFC vs. Berk HFC & Stillen gen 3's)
And will followed that up with the install of my AP and some more dynos. Then send some maps over to Cobb for a custom tune and hopefully get some sick numbers!

All this will be done at Animal House Racing in NJ.

I will update this thread as my parts come in and parts get installed...might take a coulple weeks for everything as i am pretty busy but i'll let you guys know

Results are in:

Alright i just got back from Animal House Racing.

We put down 253.6whp/229.9wtq the way the car was with just Berk HFC.

After installing only the Stillen Gen 3's we got 266.6whp/233.4wtq.

Now we installed the accessport. First i wanted to mention that i had similar results to what "chamelieon" got in the sense that the "stock style" map made the most power, followed by the stage 2 map, and then the stage 1 map.

I don't have all the dyno sheets to all the different maps we did but the first time we dynoed with the stage 2 map and it was around 270whp. After that we dynoed the "stock style" map and got 276.5whp. Then we loaded up the Stage 1 and it wouldnt go passed 274whp.

All runs where done in 5th gear.

We are sending out the data-logging to John at Cobb and should soon recieve a new custom map and see what else we can squeeze out of it.

So the final comparisons were:

Only with Berk HFC: 253.6whp/229.9wtq
Berk HFC + Stillen Gen. 3= 266.6whp/233.4wtq
Berk HFC + Stillen Gen. 3 & Cobb AP: 276.5whp/236.1wtq

Here is the comparison dyno of Berk HFC vs. Berk HFC, Stillen Gen.3s, Cobb AP.

if i did the math correct....the gen 3's are $498-15%= $420.75
then $420.75+ $9.95 (stillens insurance & handleing charge)= $430.70

Stillen states the discount will be taking off before they charge my card but after the order is placed...the total still comes to the regular price which would have been $507.95.
So $507.95 to $430.70 is pretty sweet deal...i couldn't resist lol

So if you buy the Cobb access port and send them the map they will tune if for you, for free or what you paid for the Cobb?

that i am not 100% sure about....but they wouldn't charge the same amount that you paid for the cobb lol
I will be dyoing it at Animal House Racing and they will work with cobb i believe to get a map...im not sure the exact procedures.
I know A.H.R. is running the AP on there 10sec GT-R so i will talk to them and see how its going to get done.

yes...its a tuning device...you plug into your cars OBDII.

The accessport comes with some maps already pre-loaded...stage 1 & 2 i believe, which are ment for different set-ups. Then you can also get a custom map to your specific car and save it. It also comes with Valet Mode, Anti-Theft Mode, and Stock Map.

It can also do typical performance reads (0-60, 60', 1/4 mile) also can read and i think clear some codes. You can re-set the ECU with it too which is a nice little feature. All in all its a good product especially if your worried about tuning your car and having to go back to stock for dealer purposes.
