Stillen Gen3 vs R2C intake

Anyone know of any numbers from the R2C to compare to the Stillen G3?

R2C's intake hasn't been released yet and they haven't released any dyno numbers. I'm hoping the week after next (SEMA) we'll get an ETA for first shipments.

The only thing that makes me skeptical about R2C is that I can't find any dyno numbers from any of their other intakes. They make them for Z's and G35's yet I can't find any independent or R2C dyno sheets that show before and after.

Right-to Max. Read all the threads, just looking for numbers for the R2C intake. The Stillen numbers posted will probably approximate my expectations, running Berks now, add HKS and intake next. Thanks

Dyno's will come and I'd definately wait for them. R2C has serveral obvious advantages right out the gate:
  • A single high polished tube to the throttle body which looks better, no joint.
  • Easy install requiring no modification to the car.
  • Custom designed sick looking filters providing better filtration and performance both initially and loaded with dust.
  • Easy access and maintenance - no oiling required, low pressure air to clean.. no waiting to dry.
  • CAI design that doesn't expose filters to enviroment which will translate into less maintenace required.
  • No risk of oil contamination and possible engine damage or wear inherient with cotton gause filters.
As they like to say, R2C designs intakes from the end cap of the filter to the throttlebody, and this one is custom designed for the G37, not just fitted to get it to install with a 3rd party filter slapped on. They don't run 100 dynos to get the design, they use CFA (comprehensive computational flow analysis) sofware to develop the design followed by extensive testing in their lab.

I'm sure the sound will be awesome as every other full tube intake has sounded, the question remaining is how will it perform, hopefully within a month we'll have the answer.

If you haven't read yet, I am doing the dyno for the Stillen 3G intake this Saturday.

The decision would be alot easier once we have dynos. My money's on R2C, pun intended, since they design intakes based on airflow efficiency and not just the plumbing but the filter itself. The other advantages are icing on the cake... and very sweet icing at that. R2C see's the measurement of efficiency as the key and only factor when designing a high performance intake. I beleive they will be doing a dyno with their test user since they know folks like to compare based on dyno data however that's unconfirmed at this juncture. Also I beleive Andy had some options for doing a dyno on a stock car as well.

Andy's gong to meet up with Ed at SEMA and perhaps get that answer for us. Last update I had is he would have a better idea last week and I never recieved an ETA update. My guess is it should be within the month of Nov they start shipping.. that's a guess though.
