Andy, please, double check this info with your contact on JWT or even Jim directly. We know the Group Buy situation is something that you can't control, but, if this is true, and this shop was out of stock and JWT sent them even 1 intake to fulfill these order, that's simply unacceptable for us, we ordered before or on July 23, 2008, 67 pop-chargers, you ordered them that amount of items even before that date, and 2 months later they haven't fulfilled the orders, SO, they simply shouldn't be sending Pop-Chargers to other shop except yours, until they complete our orders.

Let us know what they say.

I just called them and they said we are still the first on the list for all backorders. They havent made any and sent out to other dealers. They said there were a few places that ordered a few before the GB was underway. I dont know if these places have sold them or "wholesaled" them to other vendors. We are still their first priority....

Wow, I didn't know I'd open up such a can of worms on this one. I hope everyone gets their intakes soon but I can't think of one reasonable excuse JWT can't produce 67 intakes after 2 months, and only send out a handful periodically. Its a tube, a few plates and a filter!! Something else has to be going on. The only thing that could pooooosibly be to blame is filter availability, the rest is custom parts made by/for JWT which if needed are best completed in quantity due to set up purposes not a handful here and there. Are pop chargers for other applications ie: single intake G35/350z as well as other engines, which appear to use the same filter unattainable as well?? I'm just speculating, but I think there has to be other reasons. I also hope that I haven't jinxed myself and end up getting a box with a non-G37 intake Friday

No you didnt, there are a lot of variables as to why parts are taking awhile to get manufactured..not just w JWT but w/ all the other companies. Although the process seems easy as you said (few parts here and there), many times its a waiting game on getting the parts in, so they can complete the process. I know the metal used for the heatshields were pretty limited and had caused some delays. I dont think they share the same filters as the G35, as it looked diff in size compared to the one on my G35. JWT also makes all their products in house, they are not mass produced overseas, so that takes some time also.

We'll actually you have... normally GB's are a good thing, however I now find myself 2 months into a wait..looking at 3 months now for a part I can order for only $30 more and have it in a week, if I had a choice, I'd take the later. No negative inference on Andy, HPAuto is great to work with however I'll be looking at these factors moving forward for any further GB participation.

What has happened is rather unfortunate. I would imagine JWT will be hard-pressed to get another GB going in the future if they're having problems meeting GB demands.

With such a huge order there has to be more resources dedicated to make sure people aren't waiting forever – whatever the reason may be. I think we deserve a better answer from them, and we shouldn't have to speculate on what's going on.

67 intakes in one order paid 2 months ago (that's almost $20k) and the best we can do is guess? It's great that Andy is trying to alleviate the problem by offering discounts on his stuff and it's not even his fault (mad props to you, man)... but what about JWT? I think it's about time for them to step up and show us we're valued customers.

Being one of their biggest dealers for many years now, I can honestly say that they have never received such extreme demands for one particular item. Even back in the day when they released camshafts for the QR and VQ motors, the demand was high but not what has become w/ the popchargers. Not even their popchargers for the VQ sold like this. We have hosted numerous GB's w their products and I cant remember the last time that there was over 60+ and counting. JWT has always been upfront w us, whether it be missing parts or simply just behind on manufacturing. I know they arent just in the business on making the popchargers, so I am sure they are dividing their time equally amongst all their parts. Most of these vendors, dont really have the time to worry about customers, as its their "dealers" responsibilty to help w customers. I have no problem being the messenger for good or bad news, as its our job. As a dealer for them, we try to "heal the wound" in other ways, such as providing discounts and things like that. We care about eachone of our customers, even if they dont. For what its worth, I know they are doing everything they can. Does the wait suck? Of course it does. Does the months and months justify a good product and be worth it? Some may think so while others may not.

Always the diplomat... I want to hate you but you're not giving me any reason to... lol

Well, since JWT is your problem I hope you're giving Jim an earful on our behalf!

The morons delivered it to the wrong address last Saturday.... My address is 1250 S and the genius in their shipping department addressed it to 12505. After many phone calls Fedex supposedly retrieved it yesterday so hopefully I will have it today, but with my luck I wouldn't be suprised if they end up shipping it back to themselves.

Wow these are sellin' like hotcakes, sucks that JWT is not meeting the demand - I'm glad I jumped on the JWT's early when I did - thanks for takin' care of me with that Andy! You're doing a great job handling this and being the middle man here. Hopefully productions speeds up. The intake has been treating me and my G really well BTW!

So your supplier did get the intake and shipped it out before the GB. And you did say your supplier was getting the intakes from JWt directly? Wow

it looks that way, however since they screwed up shipping and I haven't actually oppened up the box and verified they sent the correct thing, I was waiting to break the news until I could do so. For all i know they could have sent a 10lb box of coal to me. They shipped it out a week after i ordered it and their excuse was that JWT sent it directly to them and then they would ship it out so unless they were telling me an untruthatude and they order from a middle man (which I think is unlikely) the get it straight from JWT.

even the GB, JWT sends it to the retailer and the retailer then sends it out to the customer. The only problem I see is that they might have sent you the wrong intake (G35) instead. Hopefully it's not.
