Just threw an SES...

At 5500 miles...Anyone else with Berk HFC's throw an SES? I'm going to assume its from that...But I had the HFC's installed at 2k miles...I've had 3500 problem free miles...Not sure what happened but the light popped up today...Whats my next step? Dealer to read the code or better to take it to an independent shop? Thanks guys...

From: Downey Ca,
Take it to the dealer. I had the same thing happen to me, and I had to just live with it.

Kaos. Did yours happen right away? Or did it happen over time like mine? My only concern about a trip to the dealer is I'm on a lease. Hmmm

Take it to an autozone, ask to borrow a scanner so you can pull the code, and post it up here. A number of people on the boards have service manual that shows what all the OBD-II codes mean. You can also clear the code with the scanner after you check what it is or use the Motordyne pedal method to clear it.
