Arizona and intake's

I have read before that having an intake on your car in hot places ie. Arizona it would do it no good. Even if it wont make any WHP gain, could i still maybe get a tit more MPG. Also if i did go with the intake in hot weather will it hurt the car?

Really it does not matter where you are. If a CAI actually produced power it would in AZ just a bit less than in cool climate. Your car breaths the hot air with the stock air boxes why would a CAI make a difference?
