Injens Intakes Independent Dyno

O.K. everyone. This is what you have been waiting for. Injens Intake only gain
4whp.(FAIL) You are reading this correctly. If you need to rub your eyes and reread. Go ahead rub them. I am so pissed right now you can't even imagine.I would like to know where gamedog got his numbers from because I don't have those freakin numbers. For the amount of money that I and everyone else spent this is ridiculous. I know I am the first to post these numbers up, but I doubt very much that anyone else is going to get any more hp than me. I don't know about everyone else but ya think we were lied to. I do. So its up to everyone else if they are putting there CAI's in. All I can say is GOOD LUCK.........and what a waste of money.

Baseline from Saturday Dyno : 299.50

Todays numbers:

First Pull: 295.40
Second Pull: 303.94
Third Pull:L 301.40

Here is the dyno if you guys don't want to believe me. I have such a headache right now I can't even think straight.

No worries… Blackjack Fail Power is here!!!

Wow Injen…. If that isn’t an ULTRA EPIC FAIL, I don’t know what is!!! If I’m not mistaken, it was expected to produce 14 whp… Here it did 4 whp. I’m no mathematician but it only produced about 28% of the communicated expectation.

Thanks for posting up Carolyn and showing us what it really did!

As for now... This is gonna get interesting.

I'm sure gamedog did see the numbers, but Injens dyno was most likely calibrated or "corrected" to "help" read those numbers. I'm sure he has no knowledge of how to actually program a dyno so he would have had no idea what the settings were when his car was being done.
If something sounds too good to be true it most likely is!
But seriously I mean come on did all of you really think an intake would produce 14whp?
You should ALL mail your intakes back to Injen for a full refund shady company.....

Did you reset the ECU after you put the intake on????

If you didn't then the car won't readjust.

ok ok lets not jump the gun here...we need a dyno from a stock G37. But i guess we can assume almost no gains with a modified car.

Yes She Reset the ECU...

And how many people do you actaully think that will do the Injen intake alone and stop modding?? Some... but not many...

As i said before If I got 8hp outta them Id be super happy..... my fingers are still crossed on my end

Before everyone starts calling b.s. here guys, let me tell you that you AREN'T going to see 14 hp on top of her baseline... Everyone knows that mods don't respond the same with different mod combos... Keep in mind that my car was completely stock when the dynos were performed... We need someone who is completely stock (w/a baseline) to throw their car on a dyno... And as far as I was told, Injen's Dyno was in no way altered or calibrated...

honestly many i think...intakes have been know to be an easy bolt on mod for a reasonable amount of money and a pretty descent install.

if Injen isn't showing atleast 8whp gain in a stock G then we have some serious issues here.

If you believe it will produce 14wp on a stock car I have a nice shiney bridge in San Fran I'm willing to sell you.
Injen scammed you all into buying their junk product you should have listened to Cobb tuning 4 months ago. Our cars stock intakes are already perfected.

She is pretty smart about cars so I would be suprised if she did not reset the ECU.

As for the 4HP, this is typical when you combine mods. You may get 14 on a stock 37. And your HFC may get 12-15. And your exhaust may get 10-20 but you never get all those numbers when combined.

So after all this it looks like the intake for the G37 produces 4hp more than the piece they made for the G35. I am not going to say told you so YET........ but wait for it.
