Berk HFCs installed---verdict

I was not able to do a before and after dyno so I have nothing to show there but there are several already done so results should fall inline with the others that have gone before me.

The car is still 100% stock except the HFCs...

Packaging: The cats came fairly well packed and included everything needed to do the install.

First review: Upon inspection, the quality is very impressive; impressive indeed. Welds are awesome as was the fit and finish.

Removal of old cats: My installer had the same issue as many of you...the one bolt on each side. After all was said and done, he spent like an hour just on that. The rest was a walk in the park; even the O2 sensors came right out.

Install: Went perfect. Everything lined up and fit with no issues at all.

Start-up: Mildly different tone but sounds close to stock. No drone in cabin.

After warm-up: Free revving shows marked difference in sound; sounds really good in car and out.

First drive: Under normal throttle car sounds pretty stock. Mash it to the floor and you can instantly tell this is no longer stock. The sound is actually pretty impressive to me and the others that heard it.

Acceleration: The power from mid to redline is much stronger and you can tell something is different with the car.

Deceleration: Sounds awesome....unreal that this sound is coming from a stock muffler.

Cruising: In 6th gear at 70-110mph, under normal throttle, she runs as quiet as stock. Drop her down a few gears and you can hear her open up but never once did I hear a drone....even in 4th at high speed.

Verdict: Awesome product and I recommend it to everyone.

Next step is to decide if I want cat back...worried about how much louder it will get over what I have....

Lastly, the stock muffler now has the vibration/rattle, which is pissing me off....but they can fix that one for free.

Peace

P.S. -- Sound/Video clips will be done next week when I hook up with my buddies.

Weave - Glad you love it. I hope that my review helped in your decision to move forward with Berk...Everything you said is SPOT on with what i'd said...

Car is quiet when cruising...Smash the pedal and its unbelievable what type of sound comes from this car...Decelerate and you have the most incredible rumble from the muffler...Power is definitely noticeable, and I also now have the vibration from the muffler...Called Infiniti and I'm having it replaced when the part finally comes in...

I'm staying with stock exhaust as I really dont want it much louder...I love that I can have it sound like a smooth luxury car one minute and an absolute beast the next minute....

(FYI) Deceleration is absolutely incredible...So is running the car in 1st gear slowly from low rps to about 6k rpms...Then doing the same slowy in 2nd gear...The sound is absolutely perfect...

Your review is exactly what I found after installing mine. Still waiting on a replacement O2 sensor though.
