No baseline... No proof of performance on a G37???? Wow... Ain't that some ****. I know I'd be opening up a can of whoopass if I still had my order in.
Damn... Not sure if you thought this was gonna help GameDog, but I think it's gonna do opposite. People are gonna be PISSED!

I only posted it to show that Injen was successful with the HR motor for the 350Z... Just to re-assure everyone who pre-ordered the intake that they aren't wasting their money on this like others have in the past and that they are getting what they paid for...
What's the baseline? Can you convince me/anyone else how close of a representation this result would be with our motors?

LOL... I KNOW they're both VQ's... But they're both HR's bro... No intakes have worked for either the VQ35HR or our VQ37HR... 07+ 350Z guys are having the same intake issues we are with our HR motors... There are intakes out there for them but they haven't gained anything... This is the first intake on an HR motor that produced good gains on a dyno...
Why would you be opening a can of whoopass? People are gonna be pissed? Why?

I think blackjack means that you showed that the 350Z needs a Reflash to get the injen to add power
. if thats not right.... then I dont understand

The results will be close because the motor in the 350Z is actually pretty similar to ours. Both are VQHR's (which are a pain in the rear to get any hp gains out of with just aftermarket intakes), both have twin intakes, both have CVTCS... Only major difference between the two is ours has VVEL and is .2 liters bigger...

Nope, the 350 Z made about 20 hp more (from stock 350Z's making 260-270 hp) with just the intake... It gained about 8 after the re-flash...
Well... we can Say there very similiar... VQ35HR and VQ37VHR....
And ... this could all be solved by this weekend... if things work out... lets hope...!!!

That sucks that it looses HP and TQ on the low end...
Looks to drop until 2700rpm. And that is a huge drop in TQ from what I see...
Not sure if this post has talked me out of getting the Tech reflash or the Injen intake. I guess I will wait for the independent dynos of before and after install. Dang it Max, hurry up. lol

I agree - I am more concerned with low torque power rather than horses at the top end of the band. If I lose what lazy-roll-out-of-the-light-low-rpm-pull I have by adding an intake, it'll come off the car faster than you can say, "what th#$^$@%^#$%"
how can 350's be putting down 260-270 stock when people have dyno'd their g's and have lower numbers, or similar numbers? They are the same engines, ours just has VVEL and is stroked. Is it possible the VVEL cuts into the HP numbers??
Most NA mods that help the air flow better usually end up losing low end torque due to some loss of back-pressure. I felt low end loss with my Greddy, especailly when I put the y-pipe on, but the mid & high-end gain was really good enough to make up for the loss.
interesting except the dyno showed that eh 350 lost alot of torque at the high end which is disappointing to see
