So this seems like the route I want to go, not looking at doing the crazy full FI exhaust, But I can't believe a simple axle back system is really around $900, yes I know the GB is at 829 or something. But this seems still way to high for essentially canisters and 4 feet of pipe. Your thoughts, to those who have bought it, do you feel you got $900 dollars worth?
When I do the math I'm see Canisters and Pipe;
2 Megan Racing N1 Canisters, and some Pipe= >$500
Tanabe Axle back exhaust = $900
This is supposed to be mass produced and a non-custom application. You'd think the price would be less. And like I give 2 crap's about the fact it says, "Made in Japan."

Yes it's massed produced, but they use a higher grade of steel that's less prone to rusting. If you look at the price list for the FI exhaust, the price rises as the quality rises. By saying you don't think the axle back isn't worth $900 pretty much means that you think a few more feet of tubing is worth more than $300 or so. The tanabe exhaust I was told replaces the y- pipe as well.

No, according to the pic on Tanabe's site, it isn't from the y-pipe back, it's simply from the rear-axle back. I also called Tanabe USA a few weeks ago to verify that this pic showed the entire exhaust. They said yes:
