Installed FI-HFCs

Had the HFCs installed today by Vinnys Ten Racing. It took a little while due to the mechanic had a hard time with one of the bolts, extremely hard to get off. The installed took about 1 1/2 hrs. due to the bolt. They charged me $85.00 for the install. Which I think was a great price. But all in all everything went great. No problem with the 02 sensor. Here are some pics of the install. And then my view of them.

The look of the HFCs when they came in were great. They did a great job in welding everything.

Starting up the car it has a nice deep sound. As it's idling you can tell that it is a little deeper. As you rev the car up it is definitely a deep growl. Not raspy. I haven't heard it outside of the car yet. Hopefully to get a video up and going so you can hear the sound.

While driving the car with the windows up there is a slight difference. Not to loud at all. I was able to talk on the phone with no problems, with speaking and hearing the other person. Even with me driving normal or getting on the car.

While driving with the window down you can definitely hear the difference. You know that you have added something to the car. It is just a deeper growl. Love the way it sounds. Especially going under an overpass you can really hear it.

You can tell the difference with the power. Now just waiting to get it dyno'd. To see how much more power. Overall I am extremely happy with the mods that have been done. FI Exhaust + FI HFCs = power.

Have to say that FI has made some great products. Still waiting for more of them to be made. Thanks FI. And thanks to THMotorsports.

Great pics and write up. Thanks for taking clear in focus pictures of the install and for the heads up on the difficult bolt.

Has anyone heard of any problems with the FI HFC's and SES lights? I understand the OEM guards are taken off and won't fit - can they be modified so that the vehicle is still DOT legal?? any ideas? I don't want to get into arguments with the dealer about warranty items, etc.
