Some background on this decal: it's a derivative design based on the pre-production decal for the 7th Generation Nissan Maxima, making its debut as a near-production ready car for the 2008 auto-show circuit. When the 2009 Maxima came out, Nissan redesigned the decal yet again. But I didn't like it, so I created this. An old friend was cutting and selling these on Maxima.org for years. And they were introduced here on myg37.com a few years ago.
Here's a recent picture, taken after I was forced by NYS Inspection to remove my window tint.
This is an external decal on my car, holding up well after five years.
Note: I do not cut & sell these decals, people. Do not ask me to sell you a set, or how to get them. That's for people like the OP to pursue, assuming he's still doing it, and at whatever price the market will bear.

They made you take all the tint off ???......FML !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a joke !!!...I don't have inspection till July I think , maybe August. This is some major BS !! Ive heard of the law before, you couldn't go lighter on the tint ?
The glass composition is factory tinted already on our cars at 75%. NYS tint law for windshield and side windows on a passenger car is 70%. If you're below 70% (which highly likely because aftermarket window tint film), then you will not pass inspection. Hard stop.
This is a new law for 2017. Freak out all you want (I did
), but at the end of the day, if you want a NYS Inspection sticker, then say goodbye to your tint.
