GB GTM Performance Engineering: MHI Twin Turbo Kit Group Buy
I've been following along over on the370z.com and here is the latest post from Mike@GTM:
Things have certainly taken much longer than anticipated but one thing seems to have been forgotten. You will never see pricing on any kind of forced induction kit for this platform like this again. If you are concerned about waiting for an awesome deal, we have our Garrett based turbo kits available for sale starting at $6,799 for a Tuner Kit. We would be perfectly fine converting your order to a Garrett based kit if you want something in your hands faster.
That all said, we are getting closer to having the parts in hand for the MHI Turbo Kits. As such, we will be closing the Group Buy on October 1st.
We will also be putting together a schedule of when we expect to be receiving the remaining components for these kits and posting that up before week's end.

this needs to be bumped. It's been nearly 4 months now... and GTM is coming up with another turbo kit variant??
I just want the turbo kit that I paid for 4 months ago, mang.

FYI, for the people still in this group buy, I suggest checking out Nissan 370Z Forum forum. GTM seems to update on that forum more frequently
In case anyone missed it, I only found out today that GTM was offering free upgrade to Garrett turbos for those still in the group buy.

Now, for some good news: as a reward for bearing with us for as long as many of you have, we are offering the Garrett ball bearing turbos as a no-cost upgrade to those that want some ball bearing goodness. Normally, this would be quite a bit more expensive, but we are offering it to those that want to take advantage of it. For comparison purposes, the 16g is comparable to the GT2860RS turbos with a 0.64 A/R turbine housing. The 18g is similar in response to the GT2860RS with the 0.86 A/R turbine housing in terms of response, but the 18g has an advantage in power. That said, the stock engine is realistically only capable of sustaining up to ~630chp for a daily driven application. So, even though the 2860RS turbos with the 0.86 A/R turbine housings are “only” capable of 700chp and the 18g turbos are capable of 800chp, it’s a moot point on a stock engine. Now, if you are going to be running a built engine and want a turbo comparable to the 18g, then Garrett’s GT2871R with the 0.64 A/R turbine housing is the answer. That said, it is a significantly more expensive turbo and we simply cannot offer it as a free upgrade at this price point, but as a $400 upgrade.
LMAO 4 months and tillno turbo set up sent out... im sorry but that does make me laugh.... i was at my tuner shop the other day and they had a guy with a g37 coupe and he put the greddy TT on and it bolts up and puts some serious power to the tire!!! just a thought for people who have not gotten in on this group buy....IMO a solid and more reliable kit... bet ill get an infraction for this but really dont care hope you guys get your kits soon
