The only advice I can give you about tints is that the rear view mirror has a tint built in. Looking out the rear view mirror is darker than looking directly out the rear window. I have 20% 3M on the rear window, and it is coming off tomorrow to be replaced with 35% 3M like I have on the sides. I have always had 20% on the rear window, but this is so much darker, both in the day and in the night, when looking through the rear view window.
It might not bother you, but it does bother me.

x2...looks too much like a boomerang. I specifially asked for no spoiler...Personally, I'm waiting on some decent after-markets to show up.
That just a dimmer on the mirror. Its so cars with their beams shining at your rear view mirror won't blind you. You can turn it off...just press the power looking button.

On the tint, most tint shops should have a light meter to test and insure it will pass your states laws. I'd also recommend finding one that can apply the tint with a shaving aka micro-edging application which leaves no border on your front windows. You also want to avoid metalic tints and go for a carbon tint to not interfere with the electronics. I can't say I've heard of anyone having an issue with metalic, but heck why gamble. Suntek makes a black carbon tint, lifetime warrenty and scratch resistant.
