My serpentine belt exploded and came off on the highway and I noticed this ground strap attached to the body of the passenger side of the car under the intake is disconnected/broken. Will this affect anything and/or how can I replace this?
Alternatively, you could probably make your own for a fraction of the cost of new. The grounding strap connects the engine block (at the manifold heat shield) to the passenger-side wheel well area.

As always, verify before you buy.
hey thanks for the help I would probably just make my own I’m not sure how I would do that but I bet I could figure it out. I am just having trouble knowing where it would attach. It attaches to the manifold heat shield bolts?
Every car should have a grounding strap between the frame and the engine block. On most it is the exhaust manifold/ heat shield area. If time permits I will look at mine and see. Again, probably won't hurt anything but it should be attached.
A small piece of wire with two ring terminals and call it a day.
Then there are the tons of aftermarket "grounding kits" that are available...
Just looked under my hood (2008 Coupe) and the ground strap connects from the passenger-side shock tower to the rear bolt on the exhaust heat shield. I took a photo- not the best but it'll give you a idea what goes where. I doubt this location is different for for other years/ trims but YMMV. Just poke under the hood and I am sure you will find where it goes.
There are literally dozen of options to choose from on amazon and eBay... Just search "engine grounding straps" and they will pop up. You can make your own just make sure that the copper wire is bare (due to the heat) and has enough slack to flex as the engine/ body moves but not too much to get tangled/ caught up.
Good luck.
