Heavy Door Issue 2012 G37 xs Coupe

Hi,
My passenger side door open and closes ok. But, the door is HEAVY to close. What PART or PARTS would I have to replace?
The hinges seem OK.
Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Thanks
Rob

Did you try lubricating the door check link?

Define "heavy." Is the door hard to pull closed as if someone was holding the door open while you are pulling it closed? Equally, is the door "heavy" to push open?

There are only 2 things that could interfere w/ the door closing. Either the hinges are binding (needing lubricant) or the door check link is binding.

Did you lightly spray through the opening where the check link passes through the door?

The next step would be to open the door and remove the 10mm bolt that secures the link to the frame. Does the door swing easily and freely? If so, you'll need to replace the link. If not, then either the hinges are binding or there's a unknown variable in play.

Funny thing is, most of us complain how light the doors are- mine practically close on their own.
