Hey everybody out there first I wanna thank y’all for being absolutely unique and fantastic because you own a G 37 I still have people driving up to me in Porsches and Lamborghinis admiring my car my question is this I’m going to do an engine flush and get rid of the Oil I want to put synthetic in what’s the synthetic you think I should put in and replace with the oil thank you for your input

 

I'm a big fan of castrol edge, with a oem nissan oil filter

See this thread and you will see a ton of opinions- some good, others just blowing smoke.

FWIW, I've been using Mobil1 5W30 synthetic oil with a Mobil1 M1-110A filter (technically for the V8/M56) for years with zero issues. Full disclosure, I change my oil every six (6) months whether it needs to be or not and my car sees less than 6K miles/year COVID crap notwithstanding.

The general consensus is that these engines seem to like Mobil1. However, as long as you stay with name brand products AND keep on top of your oil changes/maintenance you should be fine.

At the end of the day, find what you like and stick with it.
