14 q60 coupe axle pas side replacement

Hey, guys I apologize in advance for the annoying post. Just trying to learn and understand this car a bit more. I just recent purchased a 2014 q60 awd, and after about 3 months of driving I started to notice some grease spots in my pas side inner wheel. I immediately assumed it was my axle boot leaking. My tech recommended for me to replace the entire axle instead of trying to fix the boot. I decided to go with z1 oem axle figured it would no problem. After bringing the part to the mechanic he tells me that my axle should have a shaft on both ends. I’ve been trying to exchange it with z1 for 2 weeks now and they won’t budge stating that they sent me the correct part and my car should not have a axle on both ends. My mechanic sent me a pic of what it should look like. I just wanted to get a understanding of the difference in these parts. I want to be safe and go with oem but autozone is the only one I can find with the part available near me since z1 claims they can’t exchange for the same part.

This is the one my mechanic is telling me I need

This is the axle z1 sent for a 2014 q60 awd

Z1 sent you the wrong axle. From your picture it seems they sent you the axle for the LEFT/DRIVER side- which has the six (6) bolt flange mount. You need the PASSENGER/RIGHT side axle that has the splined stub mount.
This may help:

Z1 should be able to swap them no problem. Either you ordered the wrong one by error or they sent the wrong one in error. Either way, easy to remedy.
