Dashboard harness

Hi all I have a question, my g37 needs a dashboard harness, I was able to find the part numbers for the harness I need to be 24010-3lw0d/3lz0d.
The harness I was able to find on eBay was 24010-3lw0c, does anyone know much about the compatibility and what risk I run using this harness?

Thanks

Excuse me for asking but ... what happened that would cause you to replace the entire main harness? You're going to have to tear your car completely apart to get to it.

I'd be wary of any differing part numbers and would think you'd need a direct match for a something as complicated as a main harness. Having just done a google search for the part number you listed, I found this:
https://carmarka.com/en/nissan-harne...ain-240103lw0d
Don't know anything about them though so proceed with caution.

IIRC, OP bought a car that had been severely "tinkered with" by the previous owner.

Either way, this is one instance where you need to get the exact harness. Even though most models and systems share the same pinouts and wiring schematics, all it takes is one wire or one harness to muck up the works.

If you are going to use the "new" harness to scavenge parts then it shouldn't matter. But if you are going to just do a linear replacement, better to find the right part.

Just my 10¢

Yeah a real big mess I have and I'm about to start working on it next weekend. Pretty much going to do the engine room and main harness, in the pics I attached, the circled socket, housing the connections from the ECU has been cut off and joined together by electrical tape to other wires so I just technically need this part back on the existing harness to be able to re-socket the connections from the engine room

Holy spaghetti wires! That looks like a lot of work man. If you have an X trim make sure you get a harness specifically for the AWD due to the different mode selection. Seat wiring is identical, same with airbags and what have you. Also make sure it works with the non-nav or nav option. I am positive you can still use a coupe's harness for the front.

This is why I hate Nissan for merging with Renault, you got to buy complete parts and they cost a lot. Ebay is the best friend for G owners. Voitures typiquement francaises

Yeah I rather do it the right way but spending about 2k on a harness is going to suck since I have yet to find the exact part number noted for my car. Idk what's up with the Infiniti website but I can't search for parts on there anymore for the g37 sedan.
From this pic I had a while back, It shows Choice 3 being able to fit so I'm just gonna pray that it does since that's what I found on eBay for 89 bucks

I didn't buy .the exact harness that came out from mine, I actually was never able to find the label on it. But I bought one of the harnesses that were supported based on the picture I uploaded in the previous post.

That sounds good! Hope it will work well and let us know! The wiring boggles my mind as well. Our cars don't have that much electronics compared to new cars (have what, 50 pounds of wiring?) since the first V36s were released in late 2006, but man oh man sometimes I just want something older. Too much useless plastic junk too. This is the only newest car I'll ever own, I just hate too much electronics and had to deal with some electrical issues before as well.

So I started working on the dashboard/engine room wire harness replacement, here are pics from the adventure. Might take a day and a half.

Included pics of the dashboard/engine room harness that was severed and partially reconnected back with electrical tape.

I believe when I shipped my car out of the country the ECU was stolen or rather carved out of my car and replaced with a ECU that linked back to a 09 g37 w/o cruise.. no wonder that didn't work

New York to Nigeria, I'm sure the insurance only covers up until being on the boat, once it gets here, it's a whole different story lol

I applaud your work on this my friend. It takes tons of patience to do that work (one skill I do NOT have). I really hope you get the car up and running proper!
