My car started making this rattling noise a couple of weeks ago, i only started hearing it after scraping the exhaust or y pipe several times but as I went out my car it seems like it is coming from the engine bay. It is also more obvious when the car in drive or reverse. Any ideas?

 

Probably exhaust heat shield(s) but also check the washer reservoir cap.

 

Could be the catalytic converter
