Gas Cap Snap Off

Hi guys,

As I was filling up gas last week, my gas cap on my 2012 infiniti g37x coupe broke off. After looking at how this could happen, I realize the piece that broke was made out of plastic. I was hoping to meld it but that wont be possible, maybe gorilla glue? any suggestions or how to replace?

The gas COVER. The cap is the black thing plugging the fuel inlet line. You had me confused, it was your 2nd photo that cleared it up for me.

You will never get glue to hold, there just isn't enough surface area. You'll have to replace the hinge.

Might be a shot with jbweld if you can get it to set well. That's some potent stuff.

At this point, ima going to just replace instead of trying to fix it esp plastic..... but to replace, I can just do the hinge not the entire cover?

is the correct part
COVER-FUEL FILLER HINGE

From your pics, it looks like the lid needs replacing not the hinge.

I'd just find a wrecked G of the same colour and buy the cover from there.
