Group 24F and 34R battery for 2008 G37 Coupe
Hi all, I'm looking to replace my old battery as it struggles to crank, and even worse in cold weather (had to get boosted a few times. Ontario, Canada)
Everywhere I go the BCI group size 35 is recommended and shops won't install anything else (i'd do it myself anyways), lots of pages suggested the group 24F sizing as they use those in the M Series.
I have a few options that i'd like to explore for a larger alternative with higher CCA than OEM Group 35:
-Group 24F AGM 710 CCA from Costco, Kirkland brand (Johnson Controls) for $174.99 (Non-AGM is 119.99)
-Group 24F Non AGM 725 CCA from Walmart, EverStart Maxx for $131.97
-Group 34R Ultra AGM 775 CCA from Canadian Tire, Motomaster brand for $199.99 - Dimensions: L:10-3/4 W:6-7/8 H:8
Now, I'd love to just slap in a Group 34R inside and be blessed forever, but i'm not sure about the size limitations of the battery tray. So my question to all is, what are your known size compatibility for these cars, what will fit without and modification, and what is the maximum dimensions that the battery tray can hold? I've been pondering this for months and struggling in cold weather but too busy with work to really test out sizes myself, any help and recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
