Overheating
My G is overheating. There is a buildup of anti freeze at the cap and other side of hose. I filled overflow tank with water but I'm worried it's something that needs attention. Any ideas? Could the cap be bad? Only have 30k miles

on my g37 it would leak from that hose all the time. i changed the clamp and it seemed to fix the problem. but mine never overheated. i would check that your fans are working and it might be time to change your thermostat. but what are the symptoms. does it overheat while driving or only at a stop? maybe water pump(less likely)? what year is your car?

I noticed the temp gauge was at the point before full H. This never happened in my 2012. I noticed when parking that the fans were on full even after a short trip. That's what alerted me, then the green garage floor. I filled the overflow tank with a lot of water & I made it to work this morning without the temp needle passing the middle.
I'm going to try replacing the clamps. Hopefully the cap is not faulty.

i guess if it is remotely possible that the cap is failing just get a new one. they are like 10 dollars. then keep a close eye on the area and make sure no coolant is leaking. if it is it will be easier to find where the leak is coming from once you clean it all off.

I used this one
It’s green and looks the same as the coolant leaking out of Geezer’s hoses. Anyway i had a leak from those hoses so my mechanic(not dealer but used oem coolant) changed the radiator hoses and thermostat. I wasnt experiencing overheating but it was definitely leaking from my original hoses.
I’ve read somewhere here that coolant is either green or blue.
