Evaporative Emission Vapor Vent Tube Warranty Letter?

I recently received a letter from Infiniti saying they have extended the warranty on the evaporative emission vapor vent tube from the fuel tank to the evaporative emission canister. Extending warranties for free certainly isn't something to complain about. However, this isn't something I remember reading while researching my 2012 G37S sedan. I did some searching on this site and didn't find much info on it. The letter says that a hard-to-fill condition is a symptom of this issue.

Thoughts? Anything else to watch out for related to this? Anyone had this failure?

So I received this letter for my 2012 G37. I was having this symptom regularly last winter, so we took it to the dealer for the repair. Well of course they could not duplicate the issue, and their diagnostic method was to fill 5 gals of fuel, but no trouble filling. They informed me they would not make repairs, but if the symptom persisted to bring it back in. It still happens intermittently, and it's annoying but not like we have been stranded by the situation. Well then I get the letter, and it describes the exact symptom I have. No biggie, next time it needs to go in, we'll get it looked at again.

So the time comes, we have a couple things that need repaired, and we drop it off, inform the service writer that we'd like to have the repair addressed with the fuel vent. They then tell me that I may incur diagnostic charges to investigate the issue. I respond, you mean the charge for filling my tank with 5 gals of fuel? Is that the actual factory service diagnostic procedure? I said we tried to have this resolved before, with no satisfaction. The letter states my symptom to a T. If it's not repaired I'm going to blast your surveys and go up the chain. They act like it's a scenario they have never dealt with and would be a surprise if the part is defective.

Why must it be so hard

its only the hose that they are replacing its not going to be the vent valve. the big issue is the vent valve. that seems to control the gas when ur refilling. you want to fight them for a hose its not worth it. plus the vent valve is less than $100 you can replace urself. if seen them on ebay oem ones for like $50 or less.
