Exide 24fx battery is still $100 at home depot with trade in.

Exide Extreme 24F Auto Battery-24FX - The Home Depot

800 CCA (cold cranking amps at 0° F) or 960 at 32° F. It's slightly larger than the stock battery but does fit. There's quite a few of us running a group 24F battery in this car. 40 Month exchange warranty.

An advantage of using the dealer is if you travel out of state any Infiniti dealer will honor the warranty.
Another advantage is everything works when you leave the dealer.
To me it is worth the extra few dollars.

I obtain my savings at the gas pump.

im pretty positive if a battery is bought at any large retail store you can go to any of the stores in state or out to get the battery replaced under warranty. i buy from sams or costco which ever has the battery i need in the higher cca.

That is the one I have and I can confidently second this recommendation.

There are far more Home Depot stores around than Infiniti dealerships, and I can guarantee they'll give you much less hassle on a warranty exchange than a local dealership. Take the $175 that you save over the dealer's wacko pricing to buy a battery hold down, then spend the other $170 to buy weed, Adderall, and fidget spinners or whatever it is you crazy kids are into these days.

Tons of other places sell the same battery as well. Tractor Supply. Various auto parts stores. Others. HD was a preferred choice because of price, convenience, etc.

They are usually cheaper and give you the most aggravation for the buck.

Also, what the hell is a battery tie down and why is my dealership just now letting me know that it's missing? That's another $75.
For our 6MT, I bought a battery at Costco and installed it myself.
It took me about 1hour because it was the 1st time I do it for this car. No issues.
Cost me less than $80 and came with a good Costco warranty.
The new battery has the same physical size and location of electrodes as factory battery, but with greater cranking capacity and it is maintenance free.
