Help 2013 g37 running hot
2013 g37 running hot
My g37 Infiniti journey is running hot , can smell coolant , it goes up and down on thermostat while driving , fans turn on , coolant is fine no leaks . Thermostat has been replaced and still is heating up . Some smoke comes out of exhaust when I start the car up
When you say it's running hot, where is the max point that your temp needle goes? If it's at the halfway point you should be ok, anything over that and it would be a concern. These all aluminum motors run real hot as far as the temperatures in the engine bay. If you smell coolant then chances are pretty good there is a leak somewhere. Since it's a 2013 you should still have warranty left, I'd let the dealer test the cooling system.

The dealer is not a big bad wolf.
Wonder why the OP didn't start there with a vehicle still under warranty?
