I was inspecting my coolant level earlier and I noticed what looks like stitches on my serpentine belt. I couldn't reach my hand down there so I couldn't tell for sure whether they are actual stitches or just marks.

Here's a pic. I bought the car brand new and has never touched the belt. Anyone seen anything like this before?

 

Yep, they come that way right out of the box. It's just in the fiber material on the very outside surface layer though. It does not run through the belt.
