Grounding Kit wiring question

So I purchased a G35 grounding kit. I got it for a fraction of the listed price so I was happy with it. I'm way too lazy to make my own so the idea of having one ready made was too tempting.

I just wired it up and I've got a slight issue. The run from the negative terminal of the battery is short.

Is my battery not installed properly? It looks like if it was flipped around, I could make the run properly.

Any suggestions? I started it up and it runs as is, but am I doing harm by not connecting that last wire?

Thanks!

If you don't have it connected to the battery it's not doing anything.

It's connected to the battery. But one of the two connections off the battery is not connected to anything. You can see it sitting just aft of the battery. The other connection is connection is properly grounded. The first pic shows both of these connections very well.

Those pictures weren't showing when I first posted. Since the kit is not meant for this engine specifically it probably just doesn't go to anything.

I would suggest to tape off the loose connector so there is no metal flailing around and maybe tie wrap it or get some black cable management tubing to match the OEM one.

Good idea- so I don't "lose anything" by not grounding that other run off the battery?

It's also not doing anything when it is connected to the battery.
