So ended up paying to get my oil done at the dealership with warranty package.... then come to find out, they use Pennzoil Semi-Synthetic at the Infiniti dealership.

What are you thoughts? What do you personally use? Fully / Semi?

 

Personally, full synthetic and purolater filters. You're about to get a sh1tstorm of "use the search function" though.

I've used the same service advisor (i.e. I trust her opinion) for years and she said that unless you have excessive valve train noise, the full synthetic ester oil is not needed (cost is more than double). Most people that come into the dealership use the blend. I switched at 3k miles to blend (the cars ship with ester oil) and have found that the mileage is actually better. Not sure why.
