I was looking for a G37 service manual PDF and accidently downloaded the 2014 version. Realized it after everything in it is referring to Qxx. I own a G not the Q50, but from my understanding they both share the VQ37 engine.

One thing I found interesting is that in the Q service intervals are now recommending 5K oil changes, no more 3750 or 7500. Made me think did they learn something from all these years or was it just to avoid consumer confusion to make it a nice even 5K for simplicity.

 

Interesting. Does it recommend 5K intervals no matter what or are there different recommendations for regular and severe service?

 

No regular or severe service anymore. Looks like everything is lumped into standard service. After reading through a little it also looks like they are requiring brake fluid replacement every 20K now as well. I dont recall that being in the G37 service manual.
