Hey guys, I was washing my car and this device popped out. It was glued in between the license plate lights. Is it the backup camera? My car didn't come with one at all or navigation.





I traced the wire into the spare tire compartment and it leads towards the interior. Didn't get to trace any further because its dark out now

 

Looks like some aftermarket camera

 

Kind of weird..nothing on the dash shows anything to activate it

 

Im guessing you purchased the car used and the previous owner had this aftermaket camera installed since the car did not come with camera or navigation.

 

yup, aftermarket backup camera. Remove the trunk interior and trace the wire. The other end probably isn't plug in to anything at all. It will only work with aftermarket headunit anyways, not stock system.

 

I did purchase it used. I just traced it into the interior and it led to nothing. Thanks guys
