hi guys

my 2009 G37s (and another customers as well) has been in the shop for over 1 week (and prior 2 other visits as well) for a SES light coming on - which they cant find the cause of. Only issue is its buring major gas and idling at 1000 rpm. (also started engine stuttering now - and i only fill up Premium gas)

They have the Infinti TECH guys from their TECHLINE working on it now - and wants the cars for a week or so (gave me another G as a loaner )

ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS?

 

Have you ever cleaned your MAFS? I had a similar issue, after inspecting the MAFS I found dirt on them. On some occasions my car wouldn't even start (usually after a rain fall or extremely humid weather).

 

yes i have - but if it was the MAFS it would show up in the readings... also my modded g and this stock G have the same prob.

 

Did they figure out issue? Mine was solid.. Then blinked and car choked. I had oil leaks in the spark plug tubes. Very expensive fix. However now light is on solid and goes off sometimes when I fill gas tank.. Very weird. Infiniti doesn't know what it is. They say it could be a short in wiring harness if it does this off/on cycle. I don't want to spend more money with them guessing..

 

Well funny thing, they did figure out last year when this happened - it was a computer replacement was needed (as another G was in for the exact same issue at the same time) well lone behold, just last week i had the same issue AND THE OTHER G WAS ALSO BACK IN!!!

So they erased the code, and sent me back too see if it comes back (it hasnt yet) and they are testing the other guys car (they put a computer in his car to track the computer reading while he drives) to find out the issue and will call me back.
