Hello everyone. I have a 2008 G37S 6MT with about 34,000 miles on it. It's had the 30,000 mile service and as far as I know it's still under warranty. Anyway, I drove to lunch today without any problems. When I left the restaurant, I started driving and the car drove really strangely. Whenever I would accelerate, the car would reach about 2800 RPMs and just kinda jerk abruptly. Almost like it was hitting a rev limiter. I turned off the car and turned it back on and still had the same issue. When I got back home, I put the car in neutral and it still did the same thing. HELP!!

 

Dorsnt sound like a clutch problem to me. Sound like the ecu placed the car into limp mode. Any check engine lights?

 

def doesn't sound like a clutch slipping at all, if it was your car's rpm would just go up and car won't go anywhere.

 

The problem stopped when I let the car sit for a while. Maybe it was just a glitch in the ECU. Thanks for the help though!

 

sounds like when i had water on the MAFS in the intake,,,do you have an aftermarket intake??

like others are saying its not you clutch!!!!!
