Another oil filter question

So my first oil change is coming due. I went to the local Napa parts store and walked out with a Napa Gold 1365. The receipt actually shows the car and recommended filter number. I say all this because I got home to double check the part number and I see where the Napa website recommends a 1358. I looked up an older G and the 1358 is recommended. Comparing notes about the filters it seems there are some very small differences in o-rings etc. Additionally the 1365 is listed as having a anti drain back valve as a 1358 is not. BTW I am not interested in running a factory filter.

Thanks, any input?

Napa Gold filters are some of the very best you can get. They are (or at least used to be) the same parts and Wix filters only rebranded. If it has the correct thread pitch and the base fits on your sealing surface, it doesn't matter at all if it is the correct application. I use Wix filters and use the same filters for my '96 Maxima on my G37. It is slightly bigger then the application for the G37. I have used it since the first change with no ill effects in 65K miles.

napa gold is a great filter, among the best you can buy. much better than OEM and slightly cheaper too. napa gold and Wix are the same.

both the 1365 and 1356 (bigger) filter work fine. i use the bigger 1356 filter since i just can't stand the tiny 1365 size. i've been using the 1356 on the G37 and my old G35. you'll be fine with either.

Thanks for the replies!
I've been very busy and haven't giving this much thought lately.

Thanks
