I know you were just fooling around, although seriously I think it's still the same principle at work for the reason they use high octane fuel. The F1 cars use higher compression engines, which means additional pressure. Whether the pressure is coming from Forced Induction or not, I suppose it's still pressure and more of it demands higher octane.

So I guess if you turbo'd those engines you'd need to bump up the octane even higher .

So you are going to trust some stupid marketing write up about their own product over proven fact? You might as well go buy this while you are at it. It says it will give you 25% more horsepower.
Turbo Supercharger Infiniti G35 M FX QX56 Q45 G37 QX4 : eBay Motors (item 160431293335 end time May-11-10 2239 PDT)

I already explained to you very clearly that it will not do a single thing for you.

Hey genius look at their own product specs.
ROCKETT BRAND RACING FUEL

91 Octane - Density .770
100 Octane - Density .744
111 Octane - Density .726
118 Octane - Density .704

Notice the density gets lower? (E85 expempt) As the density of the fuel gets lower, the potential energy of the fuel also gets lower. In terms you can understand.... higher octane means less go fast in vroom vroom.

Unless you are specifically tuned for a higher octane fuel, you are just throwing money away. When in reality, you will actually LOOSE power, due to the lower density fuel.

LOL, what is that thing? Obviously not really a $25 turbocharger.

A bit harsh, though.
