Just a quick survey seeing if anyone is using the Motul8100.

I'm leaning towards shying away from the nissan ester, from another thread it sounded like the majority of people were using mobile1.

I have been using 8100 for the past 30k miles and love every single miles out of it. Biggest difference I felt was when I put Mobile 1 for one time because I didn't have the 8100, but it was changed out within a week.

I also hear Eneos is a very competitive oil as well, but haven't tried myself yet. I'll probably stick to the 8100 until my motor dies (hopefully NEVER!!).

BTW, I also had used 300Vs for my S2000 with great results.

5w-30s do come in different categories, but I never really looked into them. I believe the one I've using is the Eco-Nergy.

I"ve used 8100 as well. While not as good of an oil as 300V, it is still far better than the majority of the oils out there.

Mobil 1 is Junk.... lol. I'd rather put a conventional oil in my car.

mobil 1 is fine...my wife always uses mobil 1 synthetic on her scion TC. she buys them at walmart for $22 as a 5 quart jug.

i used to use redline, mobil 1, and royal purple on my last 350z. as good as they all were, i experienced oil breakdown/consumption on all of them when i drove my Z very hard (but very very minor). motul 8100 has been great....so when i got my G all i have been using is motul 8100...plus WCN puts 8100 for a cheap....LOL.

didn't all of the VQ35 Rev-ups have the oil consumption problem?

so you're going with +1 to 8100 too after all that right? ha ha

I hear of all these oil consumption issue, I guess I'm just glad that I have little to no oil consumption even at 5k miles.
I'm happy with my mobil 1 oil and filter. Haven't had any problems with it.

I used the 8100 in my 04 coupe. It not's what I consider cheap, but I think it's a better alternative.

Another 8100 user as well.

Switched from Eneos to 8100 and have no complaints so far.

(That reminds me, I gotta change my oil)

Junk? Tons of guys running Mobil 1 with great results. I have over 110K miles on my 450HP Z32 tt. Car has never had so much as a hiccup ever! I run 15W50 because I am in florida and I know tons of guys who are running over 200k Flawless miles on mobil 1.

Whats your reference for it being Junk. I want to let all the high profile cars including the manufacturers who use it for factory fill. They might want to know they are putting junk in there cars.
