Hey

Just got my G37 sedan for 1 months now. Everything is ok, but I am annoyed by a slight scraping noise from the steering wheel (like plastic scraping .. not as bad as a metal on metal) when it turns far left or right. It almost sounds like paper is dragging in the gap between the steering wheel and the column, but the gap looks all clear. Anyone else deal with this same thing?

 

i heard some noises, but i then i realize it's most likely my tires squeaking in the garage

 

Saw this thread today, mine is doing the exact same thing. Took it in this morning, will let you know what I find out.

 

Just got the car back, looks like about 2 hours of labor under warranty.

Cause is the wiring harness for the steering wheel is rubbing and has to be re-routed. Noise is now gone. Hope that helps.

 

My dads 37 coupe was doing that.he has a non sport.I wonder if that is a problem on those models.
