If we can put money in our pockets then lets put more ethanol in the fuels.
there were climate changes way before the human race populated this planet. there is nothing we can do to stop it. ethanol is a waste too, how will that help any of this "glorbal warming" stuff? its still burning up gas isnt it? the only thing i can think of is make engines run on H2Ozzz ...

it probably does, probably does not. where is solid proof that burning gas is causing the ozone to deplete. people are just dumping money into something that will likely not going to change. i just think its retarded listening to the media and wasting your money.

i didnt want to make a whole new thread for this.. so, i know the owners manual says 91 octane, but all i can find around here (STL) is 87 89 and 93.. I've been putting 93 and my understanding is putting a hire octane than recommended hurts nothing more than your wallet, correct?

Thats correct, higher octane fuel will not hurt anything except your wallet...some states such as california only have a max octane rating of 91 at the gas stations while other states have a max octane rating of 93 at the pump...Just keep filling up w/ premium fuel only and you should be good.

So all the changes we have made for emissions and cleaner full to try and prevent something that we dont even know we are causing. Think of how much the price of new cars and fuel would drop if you could take out all the expenses of emmission improvements and fuel refinement.

Unhappy

I've always thought that hydrogen fuel cell technology is the BEST answer; just not in the next 20 years, unfortunately!

Global Warming has been ongoing for the last 6000 years since the last ice age. Carbon Dioxide is not pollution. It is part of nature (Just like methane)

People read wrong sometimes.. and other times people dont want to read at all ( like myself ) so they come to forums (like this) and ask questions so more informed people can help out. Its very likely that every single technical question asked anywhere on this forum could have been answered with a little bit of research on the thread starters part; but isnt it easier to just ask someone who already knows?

hah, it is great reading about ethanol in gas and then randomly going to a complete conversation about whether or not global warming is actually true
