A Question I have been meaning to ask for the last 9 years - The Rotary Dial

I have had this 2012 g37 for 9 years, and am finally posting to ask a simple question. Is there a way, from the steering wheel controls, to emulate the rotary dial Left and Right? It would seem intuitive to be able to move the selection left or right (Play/Pause) from the steering wheel.

Nope.
The rotary dial, HVAC and radio preset buttons as on a small dedicated CAN bus network that is part of the radio / AV unit / NAV unit.
The steering wheel controls use a "resistor ladder" and are wired directly to the BCM.

Excellent answer. Crazy to think that I have never touched that rotary dial.
