LED Replacement - Illuminated Door Sill

Hey there folks,

Has anyone replaced the LEDs on the illuminated door sills? Curious if there is any insight into this.

Thank you!

For what goal? Dead bulb or color change?

It is safe to say that the LED's in those sills are not replaceable- at least not without some serious dismantling and soldering skills. This thread shows how a member changed the "color" of the illuminated "INFINITI" logo using colored gel (plastic film). AFAIK that is as far as anyone has gone toward dismantling the bloody things.

In the event your LED's are "out," check to make sure that the sill is getting voltage. If it is and the sill is indeed "dead" it will likely be easier scouring eBay to find a used one off a junker- unless you have skills better than MacGyver (the Lucas Till version)...

Is there a separate fuse for these sills? Both the driver and passenger side are out on my 2010 Sedan Sport.

Are the rest of your interior lights working or are they also out?

If the illuminated kickplates were installed using the factory harness then, yes, there is a inline fuse. You will have to remove the kickpanel to access the BCM (passenger-side footwell) and look for the harness:

Inside there is a "old school" glass tube-type fuse.
