milky oil, coolant leaking down rear driver side of engine
milky oil, coolant leaking down rear driver side of engine
I've been dealing with a coolant leak and after standing in ankle high snow for an hour, I found it's coming from the back, driver's side of the engine. Also, when I checked the dipstick, the oil looked milky.
Anyone know what the issue is / roughly how much it would be to fix at a shop / how hard it is to repair myself?

Milky oil = coolant and oil mixing
Hello:
Generally, milky oil is when coolant leaks from a blown head gasket into the oil passages, and you end up with a chocolate-milk frothy mess. It depends on how much you have, and also if the car has sat and had a season or more of condensation that might get into the oil as well.
Any pictures or other details?
Good luck,
Rick
