Front wheel bearing replacement speed sensor

Hey guys. I replaced a front speed sensor on my 2012 G37 RWD Sedan. The speed sensor wont go back in the hole all the way. Was I supposed to put the sensor in first before inserting the new wheel bearing? Thanks for you help.

You put in the the wheel bearing upside down, so the hole for the wheel speed sensor is now on the bottom.

Thanks for the reply. I'll take the wheel off tomorrow and try to flip the bearing. I'll update once I do, thanks.

I did wheel bearings and came across this issue. No matter what way (only two ways) I flipped the bearing I could not get the cap hole to line up.
I discovered that the cap is removable and even while on the car it can be removed.

I suggest you try to use tools to move the cap so it aligns with the hole. If this doesnt work and you have the old wheel bearings.

Rip the new cap and install the old one in the correct place.
Why rip? Because you'll probably damage the cap during removal if it's still installed in the vehicle.

The cap comes off easily when the bearing is out of the car but again if you dont feel like re doing all of that work you can always switch the cap.
