Sunroof question

Curious if there is any UV protection inherent in the glass used for the sunroof.

A couple of times lately I've forgotten to close the sunshade after setting up the reflective folding one I use for the windshield, which got me to wondering if the sunroof glass itself provided any protection at all for those interior areas exposed by it. Thanks in advance.

I believe the glass itself has some heat and sun protection built into it. How much? Not as much as the fabric and plastic cover that slides under it.

Typically, only the front windshield offers any type of UV-A or UV-B protection on most vehicles. While the sunroof glass is slightly tinted, it, along with the other windows (side/ rear) is not filtered.

Thanks again for the info guys. I figured that if there was any protection at all, it was probably less, rather than more....
