Choice of performance parts

So I picked up an 09’ G37x after ditching my 14’ BMW 528i M-Sport (endless money pit). Anyways, with the old car, I used AC Schnitzer performance parts. My few questions are:

What’s a trusted performance parts brand for our cars? I’m seeing a lot of eBay stuff and I want to avoid putting junk on the car.

Second, what is everyone using for spark plugs? One person I know, said he uses TRQ. Can anyone chime in?

Lastly, I want to do some transmission fluid change and everything else associated with it. Recommendations on the best fluids?

Thanks for the help in advance. I know these are opinionated questions I’m asking but I’d rather go with the general consensus than get stuck with cheap parts just because of the attractive prices.

Stillen and Nismo would be the performance side of the parts you're looking for. Z1 also has plenty of great things.

For spark plugs they need to be OEM Denso iridium, if you do some research you'll understand the differences in prices. Reason why there is such a price jump is that anything less than $55 are fake. Ebay, Amazon, etc. Fake plugs is a mistake you don't want to do.
Trans fluid, OEM Nissan has never disappointed. About $8-$9 a quart.

Matic-S for the transmission fluid and Denso for the plugs as BULL mentioned. ConceptZ (AZ) and Z1 Motorsports (GA) are both excellent sources for OEM parts and fluids.

Z1 also builds and dyno tests performace parts for our cars. Check YouTube for some of their product reviews.

This is why I came here first. I don't want to get caught up in the eBay parts game. Thanks for the info.

Actually, are you talking about $55+ for a set or each?
Thanks.

As noted earlier, I use Z1 and CZP for Infiniti/Nissan parts, but I do use eBay sometimes for the Wife and Kids' cars. However, to avoid counterfeit parts (Toyota and Honda parts are notoriously counterfeit on eBay) I only buy from dealers since many parts departments within dealers all over the country also run an eBay store in parallel to their brick-and-mortar setup. Using these dealer eBay stores you can easily save 30-40% over buying parts from dealers here in SoCal. Rock Auto is a good source for Spark Plugs as their cross reference seems to be spot on with manufacture recommended updates. Additionally, they seem to stock items that are not part of the normal maintenance cycle and harder to find.

Great tip. Thanks. I have a lot of Z1 parts now, and I'll probably add some different name-brand parts later if they are actually for performance. Things that are just for the aesthetics, both brands you mentioned seem to do the trick and look good. I have Z1 couplers on my dual long-tube CAIs, and I love they way they look, fit and feel.

Thanks again.

I'd also say Fast Intentions is a reputable brand that we love around here.

Never heard of them, but I'll be sure and check them out. I've seen all the Nismo stuff and honestly, I don't think I'm going to go with them. Seems too general and everyone uses them. I'm trying to create a look that is at least
a little different than everyone else's rides. I do love Nismo wheels though, they look amazing and from what I've read, are top quality and durable. Not just paying for the name, it seems.

Thanks for the heads up.
