Second guessing Tanabe Mufflers with 1790 resonators

Starting to second guess tanabe mufflers x 1790 resonators, I’ve been watching videos but it just doesn’t seem loud enough. I still have time to cancel the order.

Not looking for a full cat back i prefer custom. Less than $1000 on a set up would be ideal. Definitely want a exceptional loud but deep tone.

any ideas? Send clips of your set up

I've been chasing this for awhile now. I think the only way to get that loud and deep tone is with test pipes.

I may be late to this thread but yes- the tanabe with those resonators is extremely quiet. I purchased that exact set up in hopes of a moderate sounding exhaust and I was super disappointed.

For what you want

Just hollow out your muffler. I would leave the resonators alone

I want Louder!

I've been running the Top Speed Y back on my G37x sedan for a month now and it's just not loud enough. Anyone went through this already? what did you add to it?

Loud doesn't necessarily mean good. Loud gets old fast.

Two comments in two months, both as new "not loud enough" threads that you never responded to. I've merged them because one thread is enough.

Do it right and buy a pair of high-flow cats. GL with all that.

[edit]

Had to clean up this thread, such as it is. mummy2 has been warned about his behavior here. Carry on.

I had this setup. Went with a ART pipes, ran through a 2.5" G35 y pipe (IMPORTANT, 3" causes rasp) and that made it louder for sure, with a more aggressive tone but not too loud. I actually miss it lol.
