Are the seats swappable from the later year g35 to the g37? There's a bunch of g35s in junkyards near me and I was thinking on getting some black seats out of one of them. A friend has a g35 and it looked similar enough to my eye but I didn't take a really good look at it.
Basically if you have the updated front end G37 sedan (2010+) it will not be a direct fit plug and play. If you do have the 2008-09 G37, it should be direct fit plug and play.
I've never understood why Infiniti overlaps their updates like this. First they have the original G35 sedan, then the updated G35 sedan that looks the same as the 2008-09 G37 sedan, then they update the G37 sedan for 2010+. Also the G37 coupe became the Q60 for 1 or 2 model years while it was still the exact same car..... Then they stop making the Q60 all together because they weren't ready to release the ACTUAL Q60...... I just don't understand it. Oh also for 1 or 2 model years the G37 sedan became the Q40.....
Ok, so the seat itself bolts on fine but the wiring doesn't match up. My heated seats don't work anyway, has anyone wired them together successfully? I don't know how different the wiring is. I have access to things at work like wire connectors and that kinda stuff. I have a 2011 x sedan. I'd have to agree that infiniti doesn't do a good job of releasing updates. The older style g35 looks more like an updated i30 in my opinion. The only real difference I can see in the newer 35 vs 37 is the front grill. I'm not a fan of the naming system for a lot of the luxury brands. Its easier for me to remember a corvette or a challenger than mdx or is350 or some other code word for an impala with leather seats and a bunch of bells and whistles.

if you’re not scared of DIY wiring I’m sure you could make it work. Although I’m not sure that would be recommended if you were to ask anyone officially lol but if that’s what you’re willing to do then I say go for it.
You’ll notice a lot more is different than just the grill if you get an 08-09 beside a 2010+. Headlights are different, totally different front bumper styling, and the grill of course.

I had a few questions I had gone to the junkyard earlier today and bought 2 black seats from a 07 g35 didn’t mind that it was missing the side sport seat features but it was going into my 08 g37 coupe. The drive side was like you said plug n play but the passenger side had 1 connector that just didn’t fit. The g35 seat had 1 female end with one big red and black wire while the g37 floor male connector had a set with different colors. Now I ain’t no smart guy when it came to trynna figure out the manual. Can someone please give me answers…
