Tire Size

Hello,

I have an 2013 IPL 6MT, I went to replace the tires, and it says 225 and 245 on the door frame.
Currently I have 245 and 275 on there. I bought it used, and believe these are the stock rims.

Should I stay with the 245/275 or go to the recommended 225/245?

I am running 245/275 on my Sedan but I have the 19" coupe wheels. I have had no problems.

wow buddy, nice ride! There ain’t many of us 6MT IPLs out there. On the stock IPL wheels go with oem tire size. Why put monster truck tires on. Seems dumb IMO.

Thanks, I do enjoy the 6MT so much more than the paddles on the 2012 XS I had before this one.

Personally I would go back to the stock staggered setup size.

That IPL 6 Speed is as rare if not rarer as my S65 M3 6Speed!

I would stick with the tire size you have on now
You get more traction on the rear and the extra width in the front gives you a bit more cornering but better braking performance which IMO is a big deal. More surface area equals more friction equals better braking just my 2 cents

Most people increase tire tread patches, not decrease. Stick with the size you have if you like the way it handles. Tires will just be a lil meaty on those rims.
