I just picked these up from a very cool fellow forum member - can't decide which to go with...trying to upload the stock color in another post...
opinions? votes?
However, black OEM wheels can look cheap when they get dirty or faded, like some kid who did a weekend mod with a couple of rattlecans. Also, when black it actually accentuates the negative space between the tires and the fenders, more so than the silver wheels. I don't know why, that's just a gut feeling.
So... I vote for gloss black. But keep them clean and drop the ride height.
I knew you'd have an opinion Rochester I'm going back and forth. I'm frankly getting bored with silver cars - too many. I'd totally be a stock rim/color man but the black does add some character too it. I do love the look of these symmetrical rims.
Agreed on black, just like a black car, they only look good when they're clean. The old car sales joke: A black car only looks good twice, the day you buy it, and the day you sell it.
bronze and red? wow, got a picture?
The black rims were powder coated by a well known wheel shop. It would be cheaper to just redo the silver stocks black. Otherwise I'd probably want to redo all 4 to stock (the two silvers on there have plenty of scrapes and I found some paint peeling off the back from corrosion.
I'm going to drive it around and look at it from different approaches.
Even with worn out Blizzaks, the better turn-in and steering response is a huge jump in the 'sport' feel, as compared to my stockers with all season tires.
143 people have looked at this so far and only Rochester has an opinion or going with the stock silver or black rims?
If you didn't notice, car has the stock silver wheels on one side, stock wheels that have been powder coated black on the other side.
I thought maybe I could darken the windows, would add a bit more black to go with the rims.
I'm driving it around this way to see it from different angles...as I walk out to it from the store, work etc. I'm surveying all my car friends currently too.

Ruffino Teknik Bronze, dont have them mounted yet, a pop of color might be sick?
Tint the windows regardless.
Clean OEM look : Keep window trim chrome, stock/mild drop, SILVER all the way.
More "aggressive look/OEM+": Good about keeping your wheels clean, low dust brake pads, blacked out window trim(preferably with gloss), mild/moderate+ drop, GLOSS BLACK.
Deeps car favors the darker colors due to his theme. Since most of your customizeable parts are still in their original color I suggest keep it bright(silver)
