Sound coming from under car (cats?)

I experienced a rattle sound during idle and as I accelerated from a complete stop. The dealership stated it was Bank 2 of the Cat, the inner part was bad. It is covered under warranty based on "Under federal law, the catalytic converter and engine-control module are covered for eight years or 80,000 miles. "

According to https://repairpal.com/estimator/infi...placement-cost
The catalytic converter is covered by the vehicle's emissions warranty, which extends beyond the manufacturer's factory warranty. Along with other emission control devices, federal law requires manufacturers to replace a defective converter for up to 15 years or 150,000 miles. Because this coverage varies by state and vehicle type, refer to your owner’s manual for your warranty information.
Mine have been rattling, I think I'm gonna hit up the dealer to see if they'll replace it.

Wish this were true.....
From EPA website. Cats are one of the items that are covered by 8yr / 80k miles but I suspect getting the warranty done is likely more a pain in the butt than just paying for it.Likely parts only too.

I had driver's side cat replaced under warranty at 70k, was super easy. Same rattle, they just checked it for external damage, found none, and replaced it that day. For a brief period, they had my entire exhaust + cats off, and the service guy drove it around to the front and revved it a few times for me. Sounded amazing, like an exotic.

Another CAT replaced here as well a few days ago @ 77k miles, that was my rattle. Driver's side CAT inner workings were bad. The dealer replaced it under the 8 year/ 80k mile federal warranty. I hope the other one goes bad before my warranty runs out.
