Lowered 2011 G37x on springs, rattle coming from front right
,
Hey guys,
I am new to the site and I really appreciate the insight on here. I am just wondering 2 things:
1, Has anyone ever lowered their car, and from then experienced the back sub rattle more. I deal with wiring speakers all the time and am pretty positive the back sub in the middle is not blown. Ever since I lowered my car I experience a rattle at certain volumes. Can't figure out why because it's not even slammed to the ground it's only Drop 1.25" (Front) / 1.2" (Rear).
2. Not only do I have a rattle from the speaker but I am just noticing now there is a rattle at slow speeds from 0- 60 on the front right side. But from outside it doesn't seem to be heard. I kept the car running and listened with to the front right wheel. and looked with a flashlight no noticeable damage at this point to struts will have to double check.
Kinda boggled. I have had my springs on since almost a year now.

it may be suspension components touching such as sway bar endlinks that have changed geometry/orientation due to the lowering...look under the car at the suspension parts to see if any parts look like they have had contact with other parts..the suspension components may also need re greasing since the change in orientation may have caused bushings previously worn in accordance with the old geometry to be exposed....you could also have a loose top bolt on the struts if the springs weren't installed properly...

Chasing down rattles and other noises, it's tough. But this thread is plenty, and you didn't need to bump four other old threads at the same time. Really old threads, too, where you're looking for help from people long gone. So I've closed two of them. Good luck.

Sorry I didn't realize how old they were until I replied afterwards. Should of checked first. Still getting used to the forums. I really don't use forums regularly.
