i know the g has the power to beat a 328 but what is the best way to launch and what rpm because i am gonna race my friend i dont accidentally lose to my friend. if he wins ill never hear the end of it. im gonna race him in the summer its winter now but i wanna get some tips. thanks!

Doesn't the 7AT have a safeguard that prevents revs past 2k RPMS or something while the brake is depressed as a safe guard? Could be wrong but swear I read this somewhere.

 

There are some tips in the drag racing thread somewhere on this forum. If you have never raced the car before, go check that out. Some folks who had some really excellent 60ft times shared their launch techniques.

 

This sounds like the most depressing drag race of all time.

I think your time is better spent doing literally anything else.

FYI, in the end you still win even if you never raced because he bought the wrong 3 series

Yes, this one is walking the line, and getting close to slurring words and not being able to recite the alphabet, so if you intend to race your buddy take the previous replies to heart and do this at a designated raceway. Or come back and tell us how it went on the street and all this stuff will be vaporized.
